On Wednesday, January 17, 2018, has been carried out the release of UII students SEA – TEACHER SEAMEO batch 5 in Sardjito Public Lecture Building lt.2 Universitas Islam Indonesia which was held at 13.00 WIB. The event was attended by representatives of III rector, Ir. Agus Taufiq, MSc., Then Program Manager of UII International Development Program as coordinator of SEA – TEACHER SEAMEO Herman Felani Tandjung, MA., And English Language Lecturer of Islamic Education, Supriyanto Abdi, S.Ag, MCAA.
The release lasted for approximately 30 minutes and received remarks from Vice Rector III and Fakhri Al-Kahfi as the chairman of the SEA – TEACHER SEAMEO Batch 5. SEA -TEACHER is a project was established by SEAMEO (Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization). SEA – TEACHER Project or the “Pre – Service Student Exchange in Southeast Asia” is a Project that aims to provide the opportunity for pre-service student teachers from universities in ASEAN to do the teaching practice in the schools in other countries in ASEAN. UII sends the delegations 13 students from 4 majors, they are Islamic Education, English Education, Chemistry Education and Islamic Economic. 9 students are placed in the Philippines and 4 students are placed in Thailand. The event was attended by some participants because the others were unable to attend.
